Directed two accounting clerks: accounts payable & payroll and distribution
credits. Performed general ledger period closings in Oracle, account
reconciliations, customer setups, capital project tracking and financial
statements for a division doing close to a one billion $ in sales.
Conducted internal SOX compliance audits. Responsible for the annual
budget, variance analysis and inventories.
Controller: 2000 - 2009
GEORGIA-PACIFIC - Fayette CNS - softwood sawmill and chip-n-saw, Belk, AL.
Directed two accounting clerks: accounts payable & payroll and shipping.

timecards to a Kronos timekeeping system.

monthly close procedures. Updated labor and overhead factors. Transitioned
the costing model from the IBM System 38 mainframe to a Lotus 123 personal
computer spreadsheet. Setup and tested the costs of new products.
