Orchard Supply Hardware (subsidiary of Sears HC), 2006-2009
Oversaw and led the execution of the full cycle recruiting process to support the Corporate Office,
Distribution Center and field level for all functional areas, from entry level to Senior Leadership.
Identified talent gaps; built and led plan to address needs. Managed the contractual relationships with all
employment vendors (temporary employment, executive search firms, job boards, drug/background
checks, salary/compensation, relocation, I-9, etc.). In doing so, I was able to reduce costs and time to fill
while significantly improving service levels.

Matrix Absence Management, Inc. (subsidiary of Delphi Financial Group), 2000-2006
Led and managed recruiting activities for 15 office locations nationwide. Worked closely with
management (30 Directors and Managers) to develop and implement the recruiting strategy, managing the
HR interface to internal clients, setting recruiting objectives, selecting candidate sourcing techniques, and
managing the candidate qualification, interviewing and hiring process. Received prestigious award as
“Employer of the Year”, from Institute of Career Development (a division of Goodwill Industries).
University Relations Manager
Kmart Corporation, 1984-1985
Managed high volume recruiting program at universities throughout the 16 western states. Responsible
for the supervision, training, hiring, coaching, mentoring, reviewing, and growth of nearly 50 managers to
help our recruiting efforts. Designed training materials and placement office materials that were adopted
for use company-wide. Developed and implemented Kmart’s very first summer intern program.
Reorganized recruiting system to reduce costs by 50%. Implemented the first Regional computerized HR
System, which saved many labor hours and resulted in better decisions in regards to promotions and
transfers of store management.

relations, for both companies. Improved Customer Service Index by providing thorough associate
training as a result Mystery Shop scores were in the top 10% in the company. Exceeded profit plan by
12% by improved margin management and better expense control.
