I have spent the last eleven years as the director of Ephraim City Library. My responsibilities
included supervising a library staff, payroll, programming, budgeting, collection development,
Summer Reading Program, Preschool Story Hour, Spanish Story Hour, writing class, grant
writing. As the director of the city library I held an active role in renovating our Carnegie
library. In this project I was involved in an extensive fundraising, grant writing and surveys to
the community. I and my staff literally organized and moved our collection once to our
temporary library and then back again to our renovated library.

My responsibilities included instruction in both a first grade class and a fourth grade class. I
developed lesson plans for both grades and a fund raiser that involved parents for my fourth
grade history unit. I worked for eight weeks in each class as a teacher where I was responsible
for assessing lesson plans, attending parent teacher conferences and helped in after school
activities.
