The Sourcing Manager is responsible for all aspects of Sourcing and
Procurement for thirteen (13) Cargill Corn Milling and Malt locations in
North America; (estimated spend exceeds $600,000,000 annually). Duties
includes supplier sourcing and selection, external market analysis,
compliance, contractual agreements, and Supplier Relationship Management.
Activities are managed from Cargill regional Corporate office.
Novartis Consumer Health - Lincoln, NE
Director, Strategic Sourcing & Logistics (March, 2005 - February, 2010)
The Director is responsible for the Sourcing, Negotiation, and Procurement
of all chemical raw materials & packaging supplies ($120,000,000 annual
spend), MRO, equipment, and services. Other responsibilities include all
material handling and warehousing of materials and equipment at the plant
and all off-site storage facilities, and Quality Control testing &
inspection of inbound chemical raw materials and packaging supplies.
. Realized $12,000,000 in hard cost savings for direct production
materials.
. Initiated Supplier Consignment and Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) for
strategic material categories.
. Realized a 55% reduction in cycle time for quality inspection and testing
of incoming direct materials.
. Reduced non-finished goods inventories at the Lincoln plant by 30%
through safety stock management and implementation of an ABC inventory
classification system.

and sponsor Kaizen activities and direct productivity improvements on the
production floor, Quality Control laboratories, Warehouse, and support
departments.

of production; Implemented TPM Teams and conversion of calendar- based
Preventive Maintenance to run hour-based PM's.
. Drove improvements to reduce equipment downtime by >55% in 2-year
