they are contacted regularly
regarding any hotel or banquet
needs. Assist sales manager in
building relationships with area
businesses by visiting them
personally to offer services.
Make daily bank deposit and change
orders for the facility. Check
deposits made by each department
for accuracy and investigate
discrepancies.
Track billing for the property to
ensure that invoices are sent out
and paid in a timely manner.
Record all invoices in the
corporate accounting system with
proper coding for budgeting
purposes for each department.
Enter daily payroll numbers and
weekly tip reports into
appropriate spreadsheets for
reporting to corporate office for
payroll.
Receive and distribute payroll
checks to employees.

Payroll - Enter hours worked by employees daily into the corporate payroll
system.
Enter new employees into the payroll system as needed, assuring that all
necessary
paperwork is properly filled out by employees.
Audit employee files periodically for changes in information (ie: address,
phone numbers,
exemptions on W-4, insurance changes, etc.)
Enter information regarding tips and minimum wage
issues and report such through the online payroll system to the corporate
office
Deposits - Collect individual department deposits for the day, check for
accuracy
and investigate any discrepancies.
Calculate and make daily deposit for the Hotel. Count the change drawer to
make
sure that the correct amount of change remains in the drawer and make change
orders with
the bank.
Accounts Receivable - Retrieve event tickets from banquet supervisor and
post to proper account and
create statement for same to send to clients. Keep an organized filing
system of such and post to proper accounts when payments are
made. Periodically run aging reports to track past due accounts
and re-bill.
Oversee front desk personnel - Confirm scheduling with the front desk
manager.
Solve any issues that may arise with guests to keep positive customer
satisfaction. General knowledge of all front desk functions so as to help
when needed. ie: Answer phones, make reservations, check guests in or out,
and help guests to have a pleasant experience.
