Work History:
Assistant to the Supervisor, Computer Lab: Trained and assisted
individuals on computer applications, typing exercises, operation of a
copier, fax machine, and filing, along with various other office type
duties. Daily recorded each person's work progress and keeping my eyes
open for any changes in attitude, good or bad of individuals. Typed
weekly progress reports then faxed them to each individual's referring
counselor. Reported any problems or concerns regarding the work
duties assigned, and the steps needed to correct the situation.
Maintained attendance records on a daily basis and recorded hours
individuals worked each day.
Plasmapherisis Technician: Work load was done independently with
little or no supervision. Responsible for getting required samples
from each plasma bottle, packaging the samples and shipping them off
for testing. Recorded volume of plasma bottles, putting them in
boxes, and placing them in freezer until results of samples come back
nonreactive. Pulled reactive bottles and placed them in a locked
quarantine box. Recorded and monitored the freezers temperature for
proper storage of plasma. Recorded final documentation of donor charts
into the Companies computer system finalizing the donor process.
Unit Support Assistant (ICU): New position starting the year I was
hired. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the unit, required to
also assist nurses when needed with patient care i.e. transport
patients from ICU to other units, assisting boosting patients in bed,
getting warm blankets, toiletry items, assisting as a team making the
patients as comfortable as possible. Transported discharged patients
to front door and assisting patient into waiting vehicle. Responsible
for cleaning and sanitizing the common areas of the hospital on days
not scheduled in ICU i.e. vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping, high
dusting. Also responsible for keeping the housekeeping room clean and
ordering supplies when needed.
