Took over a service district that had recently had a major HR issue involving removal of

Engineering
• Designed a low-cost strain bus for 138kv transmission substations
• Created a new 138kv ring bus arrangement for confined areas, that
reduced space requirements by 45%
• Coordinated the design of a new 345kv, 70 Kip dead-end tower, which
also had an air break disconnect mounted on the structure
• Developed production standards for substation design that allowed better
resource planning and allowed greater accountability
Business Development
• Started a turnkey substation business for a subsidiary of a large electric
utility. Sold eight large substation projects in the first two years
• Sold industrial power contracts in newly deregulated Texas utility market.
Specialized in marginal industrial customers and consistently brought in
the highest margins in the company
• Developed turnkey substation projects at a large design/build firm, for
utility and alternative energy customers. These were new markets for
this company and I added three major utilities to their customer base and
sold a substation to a wind farm project
• Consistently exceeded operating margin targets in all my assignments
