Skills
I plan engaging lessons for students of various levels to learn through a variety of techniques, such as discussion, independent
oral or white board response, individual and group work, games and competitions, research, projects, and presentation
preparation. All of my lessons and activities are vibrant, energetic and flexible, and achieve many learning goals
simultaneously. I take advantage of even the most unusual teachable moments with grace and authority. Students in my class
are always encouraged to be developing the quality of their characters, through identifying the moral makeup of characters we
read about, to practicing various traits such as responsibility and respect when working with their peers. I assess students’
work fairly, accurately, and through a variety of methods, and I gently guide students in knowing and developing not only
their own strengths, but also their weaknesses. I am an effective team worker with other colleagues as well as with my
students’ parents.
