1/15/10 to 4/17/10 MetLife Home Loans
Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Duties included: Underwriting FHA, conventional
and VA mortgage loans along. All conventional loans were underwritten
through AUS, while the government loans were underwritten either manually
or through an AUS. Verifying that all loans met the investor and federal
requirements that encompass underwriting these files.
09/13/07 to 10/12/09 Academy Mortgage Corporation
Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Duties included: Underwriting and processing FHA
and conventional mortgage loans along with test case underwriting VA
mortgage loans. All conventional loans were underwritten through AUS, while
the government loans were underwritten either manually or through an AUS
and verifying that all loans met the investor and federal requirements that
encompass underwriting these files. I was also closing, funding, and
shipping the files for the past year due to changes in personnel at our
office.
07/31/06 to 07/13/07 Residential Acceptance Network, Salt Lake City, UT
Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Duties include: Underwriting FHA, conventional,
and Alt-A mortgage loans either through an AUS or manually and verifying
that all loans meet the investor and federal requirements that encompass
underwriting these files. Also, training of processors for income
calculations, appraisal and title reviews and training junior underwriters
in all aspects of underwriting.
06/13/05 to 05/12/06 Meridias Capital, Salt Lake City, UT
Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Duties include: Underwriting FHA, conventional,
and Alt-A mortgage loans either through an AUS or manually and verifying
that all loans meet the investor and federal requirements that encompass
underwriting these files.
12/04/03 to 04/22/05 Academy Mortgage Corp., Salt Lake City, UT
Quality Assurance Manager. Duties included: Re-underwriting 10% of all
closed and cancelled FHA and conventional mortgage loan credit files to
verify that loans were underwritten and closed according to agency and
investor guidelines. Also performing a Q.C. audit on all FHA early payment
default loans. Performing due diligence for accuracy and fraud using many
different programs available on the internet. Preparing monthly QC audit
reports which were then forwarded to management and used for the annual
investor and government agency audits.
Underwriter Support. Duties included: Underwriting FHA and conventional
loans when permanent branch underwriters could not perform their duties.
Responding to investor repurchase demands. Duties included: Supporting my
employer's approval of the initial mortgage loan by using the investor and
agency guides and requirements and listing compensating factors for the
"weaknesses" of the loans that the investors cited. In doing so, both FNMA
and FHLMC rescinded their repurchase demands on over eight mortgage loans
in 2004, saving my employer well over $1,000,000 in demand and attorney
fees.
Managing the Underwriting Department. Duties included: Keeping all
mortgage employees aware of any changes or new requirements from all
investors, housing agencies, and state and federal regulations. Preparing
an annual one day underwriting meeting with details of new programs,
scheduling guest speakers and personally providing training sessions such
as evaluating appraisals, personal and business federal tax returns, etc.
Reviewing issues with individual underwriters regarding specific mortgage
loan issues and researching questions or problems for all underwriters and
other production employees regarding how to document mortgage loans with
specific, odd scenarios.
03/16/03 to 11/20/03 GE Mortgage Services, Salt Lake City, UT
Contract Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Duties included: Underwriting
conventional mortgage loans for companies that GE placed me at.
11/01/01 to 03/15/2003 Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Minneapolis, MN
Quality Assurance Analyst, level II. Duties included: Re-underwiting FHA
and conventional mortgage loan credit packages to verify that loans were
underwritten and closed according to WFHM guidelines. Re-running loans
through AUS's when verified figures were different from originally
submitted and approved.
