SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Management: Coordinate and organize several outreach events for the
homeless, and mentally ill, in our community. Such as;
1. Walk a mile in my shoes; we fed over 200 homeless men and women rib
dinners, and gave away over 100 pair of shoes.
2. Breast Cancer and Women; we fed over 100 women and gave away bras,
several personal items, along with some valuable information
3. Toys for Children; there were over 150 children that received
Christmas gifts from us, along with serving them pizza.
4. Organized an Empowerment Luncheon; where we invited several employers
to come and offer our invited guest (homeless) employment. We gave
away gift certificates, where certified hair stylist and barbers,
offered their services.
Leadership: able to know when to let others take the lead, so that the
common goal will be met. Aware that one person will never get it all, and
there is no letter I in the word team.
1. Started a non-profit organization. Then was asked to co-labor with a
member of my church, doing a similar thing,(feeding the homeless).
2. Served as a life coach to several citizens in our community
3. Started Diamonds for Girls; we encouraged young girls to stay
celebrant and at the end of the year we gave all 5 girls a pair of
diamond earrings and a rose for completing the course.
4. Orientated several new hires to the facility in which I was employed,
on how to perform the job which they were hired to do according to the
facilities policies and procedures.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1. Warm Hearts Inc./ Owner of non-profit (2003-Present)
Owner and sit on the board of directors of this non-profit organization,
we reach out to the homeless and mentally ill in our community. Manage
and organize all major events. Created and developed the mission
statement, the slogan, and being apart of the team that made the 501/c3
possible.
2. Beiche International Beauty Salon/Receptionist (1/2010-6/2010)
I was responsible for taking incoming call, making appointments,
rescheduling appointments and calling clients to remind them of up
coming appointments. I was also in charge of stocking supplies, and
attending to the needs of the clients as they waited to be called.
3. Patrician Skilled Nursing Center/ Nursing Assistant (4/1994-4/2008)
Helping to maintain, and or increase the quality of life in the elderly
that was in-trusted to my care. Treated residents and their families as
customers and knowing that they should always be treated as such.
4. Aristocrat Berea/ Nursing Assistant (8/2003-12/2007)
I provided quality care to the elderly and children with MRDD, through,
feeding, bathing, clothing, and transferring.
