OBJECTIVE

A position working in an engineering department of a technical

manufacturing company requiring a creative and analytical person to utilize

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

Responsible for studio class "A" surface concept design and final

engineering design. This includes "B" surface component system interface

and component attachment design.

Worked extensively with General Motors and Chrysler Design Studios.

Responsible for coordination of vehicle systems integration.

Responsible for initiation & implementation of engineering changes at a

vehicle systems level and subsystems component level.

Responsible for product and material certifications, testing, and customer

engineering specifications conformance.

Responsible for component validation testing.

Tested and confirmed feasibility of product design for manufacturing

through prototype and pull-ahead tooling mockups.

Responsible for engineering release.

Responsible for corporate plant launch coordination.

Responsible for support of customer plant launch and continuing production.

Responsible to assure PPAP for all interior components.

Generated and coordinated meetings for program progress, timing/tooling

issues, pricing and feasibility to insure a high-quality, timely, cost

effective program.

Responsible for Head Impact Criteria (HIC) countermeasures and worked

closely with designers, material suppliers and HIC testing facilities to

insure compliance with federal regulations. Familiar with FMVSS 201 & 202A

regulations.

Worked with and directed Continental Plastics, Lear, Becker Group, Collins

& Aikman and Textron plants to establish product process, assembly tooling

and check fixtures.

Worked with and directed injection molding tooling sources. Both hard

plastic and foam tooling. (HS Die, Snider Mold, Delta Tooling, NYX Tech

etc.) to ensure tooling is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Worked with and directed graining sources (Melco, Tenibac-Graphion etc.).

Worked with and directed material and color suppliers (Exxon, Montell,

Huntsman, Uniform Color etc.)

Worked directly with and at customer assembly plants during launch and

production phases.

Strong design background. Works closely with designers to ensure product

can be tooled with minimum expense and maximum performance.

Strong background in sheet metal body in white and chasses.

Highly skilled in customer service, analysis and resolution of diverse

customer issues whether it is OEM's, Tier 1 or Tier 2 customers.

Responsible for insuring that the design, engineering, integration with

exterior group, tooling and manufacturing of the BP21 complete interior

program is carried out properly.

Guided and interacted with the various Chinese component engineers, part

suppliers, material suppliers and tooling sources.

This program is the first complete vehicle designed and engineered by SAIC

Motor, Shanghai, China.

Sr. Project Engineer

Continental Plastics, Fraser, MI August 2006- November 2008

Responsible for engineering for the GMT561 Door Panel Program.

This included release responsibility, coordination of vehicle systems

integration, initiation & implementation of engineering changes at a

vehicle systems level and a subsystems component level and plant launch

coordination.

Responsible for writing change notices and follow-up with venders.

Sr. Project Engineer

Collins & Aikman, Troy, MI February 2005- August 2006

Responsible for engineering for the DaimlerChrysler LX Instrument Panel.

This included release responsibility, coordination of vehicle systems

integration, initiation & implementation of engineering changes at a

vehicle systems level and a subsystems component level and plant launch

coordination.

Responsible for writing change notices and follow-up with venders.

Lead Product Engineer

Lear Corporation, Warren, MI November 2000- January 2005

Lead Product Engineer 2006 GMX211/231 seat program. This included release

responsibility, coordination of vehicle systems integration, initiation &

implementation of engineering changes at a vehicle systems level and a

subsystems component level and plant launch coordination. Directed seat

hardware, seat belt, seat foam and head rest foam design.

Sr. Product Engineer

Becker Group, Sterling Hts, MI February 2000- November 2000

Responsible for engineering and design for the DaimlerChrysler RS Minivan

cargo organizer.

Worked with the Becker Group tooling division and production plants.

Worked with the DaimlerChrysler St. Louis assembly plant assisting with the

C-1 vehicle builds and plant launch activities.

Sr. Product Engineer

Textron Automotive, Auburn Hills, MI June 1997- February 2000

Responsible for engineering and design for the DaimlerChrysler RS Minivan

A,B,C & D pillars.

Pillars included Head Impact Criteria (HIC) countermeasures.
