PROFILE
J.D. with over fifteen years of experience managing research, document
review and translation staffs. I have spent nearly two decades analyzing,
translating, summarizing and editing complex legal, political, economic,
scientific and literary texts in seven languages.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Headed the International Department of a national Ministry of the
Environment, serving as point-man for all other national environment
agencies, and compiling and providing information for distribution abroad.
Authored a book giving step-by-step guidance to visiting academics about
how to manage life in Jerusalem. The book was published, and has since
gone through bi-annual reprinting with updated information.
Managed a staff of contract attorneys, serving as liaison between the
project attorneys and the temporary staff, training new reviewers and
translators, fielding questions and performing quality control on document
tagging and translations.
Served as interpreter at a major international trial; have also translated
for Supreme Court justices, diverse academic institutions, and publications
such as Atlantic Monthly and Newsweek.
Oversaw the selection, ordering and distribution of all foreign language
publications for an active, well-funded think tank.

Projects included an FCPA investigations from December 2008 through
December 2009, and March to April 2010, pharmaceutical cases, antitrust,
and securities. After the document reviews ended, I stayed on to perform
quality control, translations, to conduct searches and additional
investigation, write reports and summaries, etc.. My tasks included
tracking terminology and investigation information, training new reviewers,
interface with IT and program specialists, drafting interview questions,
interviewee proposals and targeted searches.
Translator, Abstracter and Research Assistant
1997 to 2002
The Israel Democracy Institute, Jerusalem, Israel
Responsibilities included selecting and then reading political
science publications in French, Spanish, Italian and German, and
abstracting them in English. The second component of the position entailed
comparative research on a wide range of political science, economics and
international relations issues. I trained and supervised a team of
abstractors for the Information Center of the Institute.

The Gimmel Foundation
In this job, I traveled to development areas where the
Gimmel Foundation had ongoing projects, and where projects were
contemplated. I developed ideas for improvement and innovation, and
communicated these ideas to donors and potential donors. I wrote periodic
progress reports about the projects, and conducted site tours for donors
when they visited. I wrote, designed and published annual reports of the
Foundation's activities (in English and French).
