Department in a multi-plant union organization. Charged with the

responsibility to move from a tactical department to one that is

strategically aligned with the goals of the organization and to create a

Implemented an effective recruiting strategy reducing time to hire from 60

days to average of 40 days. Developed and established effective intern

program. Included hiring of 1st ever international intern to support

Manager of International Sales, effectively increasing international

presence.

Rebuilt benefits program by consolidating plans, designs and contracts.

Successfully contained benefits costs year over year with 0% increase in

administrative costs for four consecutive years while obtaining an 18% plan

savings of $570(k) in 2007.

Implemented a paperless HR department, electronically archived documents on

a secure server. Collaborated with IT to design electronic vacation request

and attendance program; using kiosks for shop floor employees to access

401k, benefits and request PTO. Improving HR efficiency and workflow.

Managed the HR function for 3 unionized plants, to include employee

relations, administration, hiring, policy development and benefits. Key

program and preferred Occupational Medicine provider's relationships.

Moved from fully insured healthcare plans to self-insured, while carving
