of patients in a short term psychiatric care inpatient facility. My

staff with psychosocial evaluations upon arrival of the care facility. I
documented daily observations and monitored behavioral patterns reported to
the doctor assigned to each individual. I interacted with assigned patients
ranging from 3-10 per shift daily. I took and monitored vital signs in

I ensured safety for each patient in recognizing/assisting in suicide
prevention and risk management. I worked alongside and communicated verbal,
and electronically with psychiatrists, nurses, pastoral care, social

I worked one year at a non profit organization directed for the Knoxville
homeless community as part of my college education requirement . I chose
this community outreach due to my volunteering with Water Angels since
2004. I assisted in individual counseling and assistance to the director in
music therapy up to 5 hours per week. I thoroughly enjoyed taking part of
helping others in dire need. I was responsible for obtaining a grant for
this non profit organization used in the assistance for financial need
sponsored by my current employer. This internship focused on the needs of
the homeless community whom could not afford counseling, food, shelter, and
a lending hand. This was successfully completed for my educational
requirements and definitely for humankind. I greatly enjoyed this
internship and look forward to putting my skills in this environment full
time.
