Project Work Fall Semester 2008, Advanced Dynamics of Machinery
Our team developed a new type of exercise equipment for a
local retirement facility. The project lasted one semester.
We talked with the target user, gathered information on
required use and standards, designed on paper and completed
fabrication. We also developed presentations to show the
concept, periodic progress and completion. The device was
tested and publicly demonstrated.
Spring Semester 2009, Mechatronics
Our team worked on developing an electric-powered bicycle.
The project lasted multiple semesters, but I was only able to
participate for one semester. I helped design the concept,
worked with a microcontroller board and basic input/output
code functions, as well as some fabrication. The device was
in production and partially completed at the end of my
involvement.
Spring Semester 2009, Senior Design (Capstone Project Design)
I worked with a team to design and develop a working box
folder for Wilson Sports Distribution Center in Nashville,
TN. The project lasted one semester, where several
presentations were delivered on the idea, status and
completion of the prototype, as well as presentation for
fabrication and demonstration of the prototype. I worked on
designing and making the box folding mechanism and attaching
it to the main assembly. The project was successfully
completed, demonstrated and delivered to Wilson.
