Director of Finance/Controller- Directed finance and
accounting activities for this architectural paint
manufacturer and retailer with two manufacturing facilities
and over one hundred stores operating in thirteen states.
Primary responsibilities included management of all core
accounting functions including cost accounting, G/L, A/P,
and A/R, preparation of monthly financial results package
(including budget vs. actual comparisons and analyses),
preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and
presentation of financial reports to executive management.
Reported to division president. Additional
responsibilities included coordination of annual audit
process, management of store real estate leases, and
oversight of capital expenditures. Directed integration
activities following the acquisition of two other paint
companies, including consolidation and centralization of
accounting functions.

Controller - Responsibilities included management of all
accounting functions, including general ledger, cost
accounting, A/R, credit and collections, A/P, and financial
reporting and analysis. Heavily involved in budget
development and forecasting. Coordinated annual audit
process. Managed software upgrades of accounting systems
(Peoplesoft), implemented an automated travel expense
reporting system, and developed financial training for
supervisors.
1994 - 1997 ARCADIS U.S., INC.
A leading environmental services firm performing
comprehensive engineering and remediation services

Director of Accounting - Responsible for all operational
accounting functions, including project accounting, client
invoicing, timekeeping, and A/P. Provided financial
