Conductor: BNSF Railway, Ft. Madison, Ia

Responsible as Conductor we operator various designs of track, switches,

and derails in order to change route of engines or cars within the yards or

on the road. We check switch points to make sure it is properly aligned,

observe and monitor track conditions, weather problems, we inspect and

apply hand brakes. We also prepare reports, receive relays and act upon

oral or written instructions. As conductors we are on call 24 hours a day 7

days a week, work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, weekend and

holiday work is required.

Jan 2000 to Jan 2005

Quality Control Technician: Metso Minerals, Keokuk,Ia

Responsible for doing quality audits on the first part produced. Do daily

audits on all parts produced and record all data. Inspect incoming raw

material from numerous vendors. Run daily destructive test and record all

results. I make the decisions regarding whether the product meets quality

standards. I use micrometers, calipers and many types of measuring

instruments. Blueprint reading is an ongoing daily requirement. I inspect

returns for defects and determine what actions to proceed with.
