Developed in-house predictive and preventative maintenance programs for
significant expense reduction and increase in up time, for paper and
plastic converting lines.
Developed failure mode analysis that identified key areas of opportunity
for a start-up manufacturing operation.
Led cross-functional manufacturing teams, resulting in increased yields
with zero capital investment.
Technologies I have text book knowledge and hands on experience with:
flexographic printing presses, thermoforming, extrusion, injection molding,
robots, PLCs, sheeters, packaging equipment, paper cup forming, case
formers, and others.
Design information systems utilizing machine level PLCs and data
acquisition software to automatically measure and report production
performance real time: OSIsoft PI, Kepware, SAP (MII), energy management,
ethernet, fiber optic, and others.
Lead cross functional teams of operators, maintenance, and management to
develop focused goals, project milestones, and deliver timely safety,
process improvements, and savings.
Developed system to reduce downstream conveyor bottlenecks on a 5 roll 67
inch sheeter production line utilizing static pinning technology.
Lead initiatives for Georgia-Pacific Operations Excellence Group to reduce
production equipment downtime and changeover time utilizing single minute
exchange of die (SMED) principles.
Develop equipment specifications and identify qualified high speed machine
suppliers. Develop machine acceptance performance criteria, conduct
acceptance tests, write contracts.
Provide technical and business interface between Corporate Marketing and
contract manufacturers in US, Canada, Asia, and Europe.
