1). Heading the Department of Technical and Lab operations of R&D,

Quality/Process Control and Quality Assurance activities for production of

Quality products through formula management, sound analytical support,

analysis of company products and to fit plant process capabilities to meet

the National & International standard Specifications as well as Customer

Specifications. 2). Eliminate off-specification production and minimize

adjustments as a process expert on plant team. 3). Lead plant quality

programs and assist Technology and production teams with product

conformance, Quality Development, Process improvement and

Optimization(Process Development). 4). Lead ISO efforts to create Total

Quality Management System and lead the certifications as a MR for

compliance and continuous improvement to include Quality Review and Audits.

5) Establishment of International Product Quality Audit Systems and lead

the Certifications of BQ 9000 for Biodiesel, HACCP/cGMP for Glycerin-IP/USP

and NABL/GLP for Laboratory Accreditation. 6). Lead innovative R&D efforts

of Quality Development, Product Development, Process Optimization and

Process Development activities for Business Development of the

Organization. 7). Translate business goals into research objectives, plans

and deliverables. 8). Synthesis and scale-up of new product ideas

/improvements from ideation to feasibility. 9). Ensure plant analytical

requirements are suitable to handle a particular new product. 10). Create

and develop new ideas that have intellectual property potential. 11).

Interact effectively with "strategic" customers to identify new products

and growth opportunities. 12). Help identifies and evaluates new market

segments for existing & new products opportunities. 13). Provide technical

Service and advises to both external (customers) and internal (Plant

Operations) as needed. 14).Work effectively with various internal teams

including Marketing, Sales, Plant Operations, supply chain, Regulatory and

Legal. 15). Guiding the team of Scientists/Engineers/Chemists in their

day/today work.

ACHIEVEMENTS

. Process Optimization & Improvement, Quality Development of Biodiesel

Manufacturing process of Transesterification and Acid Esterification

process, which helped the commissiong (Process Stabilization) of India's

first Biodiesel & Glycering - IP/USP grade manufacturing plants of 1,00,000

MT per Annum & 10,000 MT per Annum respectively.

. Establishment of Full pledged Laboratory with Sophisticated instruments &

equipments to compliance with International Standards of ASTM D 6751, EN

14214 for Biodiesel. IP/USP/BP/EP/ CP & IW standards for Refined Glycerin.

AOCS, PORIM & BIS standars for incoming rawmaterials. Establishment of

Quality Assurance System and Total Quality Management (TQM) culture in the

Organization.

. Establishment of International Product Quality Audit Systems and to lead

the Certifications of ISO 9001: 2008 QMS / BQ 9000 for Biodiesel,

HACCP/cGMP for Glycerin-IP/USP and NABL/GLP for Laboratory Accrediation. .

. R & D activities on Quality Development

Study and prepare the Quality Maintenance report for finished products of

Biodiesel & Pharma Glycerine at Various stages of Production and storage.

Shelf life of Biodiesel is very critical and it requires antioxidants to

meet the storage requirements and ensure fuel quality at all points of

storage and distribution chain. Study the Stability and shelf life data to

identification, suitability and minimal of dosage of an antioxidant to

finished Product of Biodiesel.

In view of logistics to maintain Quality while storage on long time,

prepare the Statistical data for evaluation and improvement of Product

quality.

Study the Cold flow properties of different feedstock's based biodiesel to

Prepare the statistical data for evaluation of Cold properties. Study the

different blending options for evaluation of quality and optimal mix lead

to a composition having efficient and improved low temperature flow

properties as well as good oxidation stability of Biodiesel.

. Establishment of Research Pilot plant and to Prepare the standard

Biodiesel from different feedstocks of Vegetable Oils to study the

specifications, Cold Flow Properties and shelf life properties.

Research Study on Jatropha (JME) - Palm (PME) and Soyabean (SME) / Rapseed

(RME) - Palm (PME) Biodiesel blends and suggested the optimum mix for

enhancement of Cold flow properties and shelf life properties.

. Research Project Study on Methyl Ester Sulfonates (MES), Phytochemicals

and submits the feasibility Report to Top Management of Naturol.

. Research and Product Development of Vegetable Oil Based Lubricants (

Biolubricants), Funtional Esters derived from Fats and Oils

. DEVELOPMENT OF PROCESS MODEL FOR BIODIESEL PRODUCTION FROM VARIOUS

FEEDSTOCKS

. Establishment Quality Assurance system of total quality managment (TQM)

culture in the organization.
