MISSION: Provide leadership and expertise in Project Management, design

development, and Construction. Utilize over 20 years of construction

management experience in order to deliver best in class, on schedule and on

budget construction projects. My skills are aimed at delivering projects at

the highest quality, earliest completion, and lowest cost, while achieving

the customer goals.

As Project Executive for Motorola, responsible for all project management,

supported all real estate activities, design development, architectural

review, estimating, and cost control activities. Expertise in anticipated

cost reporting, scheduling, bidding and procurement, change order

negotiations and contract administration. Ability to manage multiple

project teams, manage all construction trades, and report to senior

management. Completed over 1.6 Billion Dollars and over 4 million SF of

office, hotel, distribution / warehouse, research labs, manufacturing,

engineering centers, retail, MEP renewal programs, tenant improvements, and

building infrastructure improvements, including the following:

COMPLETED PROJECTS & PROGRAMS:

- Over $670M in completed office, manufacturing plants and research

centers in the USA and the

Chicago area, including: Elgin, Chicago, Schaumburg, Arlington

Heights, Libertyville.

- Completed over $300M in international construction in Beijing,

Berlin, Toronto, Paris, Penang,

Frankfurt, and Toronto

- Completed MEP infrastructure projects exceeding $200M, chiller

plants, substations, generators,

switch gear, IT Computer room hardening and fire protection;

- Deer Park, IL, Office Campus - $110M, 320K SF office and engineering

center, new site development, wet land development, 1200 car garage,

and cafeteria, and conference center.

- Fairmont Hotel - Chicago - $70M, 42 story luxury hotel, 715 rooms,

seven restaurants, underground parking, and ballroom, 400 car

underground parking garage.

- Two California Plaza - 1.3M SF, 52 story high rise, $320M including

a 2000 car underground

parking garage. Two acre waterscape bridge, and over 70K SF of retail.

EXPERTISE:

Design Development / Estimating / Pre-Construction: Developing project

scope, preparing estimates & budgets; coordinating scope and documents,

preparing request for proposals, reviewing bid proposals & contracts;

preparing schedules, addressing project issues, completing anticipated cost

reports, updating unit cost reports, working with project team on project

start, award, change order review and cost control.

Strategic Facility Management Program (SFMP): Developed and managed the

SFMP ( A pre LEED program) which identified major worldwide energy savings

initiatives, provided capital planning and executed engineering and

construction and tracked the SFMP initiatives for cost savings. Program

contributed over $100M in annual operating cost savings.

Project Management &Construction: Expert in obtaining city planning &

permit approvals, scheduling, site planning, cost control thru continual

value engineering and value enhancement practices. Knowledge in structural,

building facades, curtain wall, tilt up, civil, and all interior trades.

Expert in HVAC systems, electrical, IT / Data, fire protection, elevators,

security and building controls. Knowledge in union labor; ADA /disability

codes; Factory Mutual /AON / NFPA; local building codes; city plan

commission approval process; state tax incentives / DECCA; county & state

road development; IEPA/ EPA/ Wetlands; and utility company negotiations &

service start up.

Financial skills: Estimating, Creating estimating tools and process, NPV

analysis, cash flow, capital and expense budgeting, anticipated cost

reporting, and forecasting project costs. Experience with Minority business

programs, capital depreciation classification, and project audits.

Excellent Cost control practices have contributed in excess of $100M

dollars in cost saving programs, design reviews and value engineering.

Strategic Planning: Directing company wide specifications & standards;

strategic planning, space planning, and driving design teams to meet

schedules and adhere to budgets.

Customer Relations: Focus on customers and senior management to ensure on

schedule, on budget and quality projects are delivered. Initiated

champion's team meetings, deliverable list reporting, and risk aversion

meetings to complete fast track projects.
