Executive management requested that I relocate to Columbus, OH in August
2006 to make immediate improvements to poorly performing manufacturing
facility. Managed Liquid Processing, Retort Bottle Filling / Packaging,
Aseptic Filling / Packaging and General Facilities Maintenance. Able to
improve line standards and material favorability on all lines within 6
months of assuming leadership role. Asked to lead multiple high level
tours of facility and take lead with F.D.A. audits.
Hire/Fire/Coach/Lead/Motivate diverse teams across multiple shifts and
departments. Assess organizational talent and initiate changes where needed
to provide necessary skill sets for making immediate improvements to
departmental performance and bottom line. Maintain budget responsibilities

$150,000 improvement to materials in 2008 vs. 2007 year end results.
> Facilitated multiple projects related to increased standards and
performance improvements.
> Requested by Executive Management to lead F.D.A. audit preparation and

BAR MANUFACTURING MANAGER, February 2005 - August 2006
Abbott Laboratories, Fairfield, CA
Promoted to Bar Manufacturing Manager by Director of Manufacturing to
develop and foster Abbott policies with newly acquired food manufacturing
facility in CA. The former company was privately held and needed immediate
improvements to all aspects of production. Abbott policies, procedures and
practices were instilled during this start up plant. Able to improve
performance though organizational realignment, capital project
implementation, improved quality focus utilizing work orders, newly created
job aids and the creation of metrics for review each day with employee's.
Initiated change and training with multi-cultural workforce.

> Instrumental in startup of new plant responsible for manufacturing
nutritional meal bars.
> Managed 150 employee's across a 3 shift operation.

Requested by management to relocate to Altavista plant to lead the start up
efforts of a new Aseptic filling and packaging line.

related to manufacturing.
> Developed key metrics, work orders and training for crews within
department.
> Additional responsibilities also included the management of the
Pedialyte filling line and 1.5 liter rotary Aseptic filling
department.
> Received ACE award from Division Engineering management for leadership
efforts and successful start up of 32 oz. reclosable bottle, aseptic
filling line.
> Led project work for manufacturing installation of electronic batch
record on aseptic filling lines. This replaced all of the chart
recording devices with computer controlled recording for critical
specifications related to sterilization, production and CIP.
