December 2003 to September 2004. Consulting basis to set up and manage a

Director of Business Development and Chief Scientist, Bacharach, Inc,
Pittsburgh, PA December 2000 to December 2003 Developed new industrial
monitoring products using laboratory instrument technology migration. Near
IR and quantum cascade IR laser were used to address needs in industrial
hygiene, sterilizer gases, fumigation and particle size analysis.
Supervised two new product design and development laboratories, negotiated
and supervised a sponsored research project at Rice University using fiber
optic laser imaging. Also provided market research, strategy and sales
support corporate wide.
Janos Instruments division designs and manufactures application specific
gas and liquid analyzers using infrared filter spectrometers. With
Bacharach's acquisition of Janos, I integrated the personnel, products and
technologies into the Bacharach business plan.
Western Region Sales Manager, Kansas City Analytical Services, AAI
Shawnee, KS January 1999 - December 2000 Promoted the services of this
CRO laboratory which supports drug approval and manufacturing.
Consultative sales of outsourced bioanalytical LCMS, pK and ADME services
using cGLP in support of clinical trials and cGMP analytical support of API
and finished product manufacturing including dissolution, physical
characterization, HPLC, GC and radiological testing based into the
laboratory. Key customer contact person coordinating study scheduling,
data transmittal and study reporting.
Consultant, DALCO, Mission, KS July 1996 - December 1998 Formed a
technology development company to consult for independent inventors and
corporations to establish new business entities, licensing, file patents
and secure seed level investment. Client companies use DALCO for inbound
licensing of technology, market strategy, angel investing and patent
management. Inventions included introduction of the EZ-UP, a medical
device for elderly home-bound patient for which I served on the board of
directors and as the inaugural CEO. DALCO is currently operating in a
royalty collection mode and no new clients are active at this time.

Kansas Innovation Centers. Kansas City, KS November 1993 - July 1996.
Inaugural director of technology transfer office. Filed all patents,
copyrights, trademarks (Jayhawk) and assist the chancellor in technology
evaluation. Spun-off two pharmaceutical companies, which are both now free
standing and highly successful (BioStratum and XenoTech). Negotiate all
license agreements, non-federal sponsored research programs, development
grants, and fees for the university. Out licensed therapeutic and
diagnostic pharmaceuticals, medical devices and infomatics software.
Regional Sales Manager, Heritage Environmental Services, Kansas City, MO
January 1992 - October 1993 Lead expansion of the largest privately held
environmental company's sales into the western half of the US, Mexico and
Canada. Marketed hazardous waste treatment, disposal, storage,
remediation, and laboratory analysis services. Managed six direct sales
representatives, brokered sales, and two technical service centers.
Resulted in a 38% increase in revenue to $19million annually. Key member
of strategic planning, marketing, continuous improvement and business
development committees. Facilitated mergers and acquisitions as
representative of the CEO.
Vice President Marketing and Sales, Cypress Systems Inc., Lawrence, Kansas
May 1989 - November 1991 Brought in by the investors to rescue the worlds
first computer controlled poteniostat company. Designed and implemented an
international sales and marketing strategy which tripled revenues the first
year for this start-up electrochemical instrument company. Global sales
organization resulted in five overseas sales offices. Personally created
all brochures, video, audio, direct mail, advertising, trade show
presentations and collateral materials. Managed multi-channel domestic and
international sales network encompassing research, marketing strategy,
pricing, positioning and specifications. Lead product design teams which
created the two new divisions that lead the company's key expansion.
General Sales Manager, Delta Instrument Co. June 1981 - May 1989 Sold
numerous lines of advanced scientific instruments, HPLC, FT-IR, GC, UV-Vis,
IR, NIR, fluorescence, TLC, refractometer, AA and LIMS to academic,
pharmaceutical testing and process control laboratories. Exclusive reps
for Shimadzu for 15 years. Initiated target marketing strategy which
increased sales revenues from $300k to $3.6m over four years. The regional
sales management included recruitment, training and supervision of three
field sales engineers.
