Automated Underwriting Process - Integrated Decisions Result (AUP/IDR):
AUP/IDR project will focus on integrating data from IDR database with data
already in the EDW. This will enable the EDW to support for analytics into
the data per industry best practices. AUP calculates the Quality Index (QI)
and makes underwriting decisions, pricing and touch decisions.

PACE - Thrivent Financial for Lutherans April 2006 to Aug

"Thrivent Financial for Lutherans" and its affiliates offer a broad range
of financial products and services including life insurance, annuities,
mutual funds, disability income insurance, bank products and more.
Accenture is providing an Enterprise Incentive Management System - titled
as PACE to Thrivent. As par of PACE, delivered Agent's Administration,
Conversion of Legacy System's Data, Data provider for Downstream Systems,
Incentives / Compensation Calculations, Data Provider for Payment
Processing Systems and General Ledger, and Reporting Application (True
Information), where all the Sales Force Group can see their attainments,
performance, rating, compensation and Incentives related information
including transactions.
Used Callidus True Comp Suite for automating the compensation calculations
- everything is rule based and easy to customize Compensation Rules based
on twists in Compensation Process and/or cycle. We have used Informatica as
an ETL tool to integrate the source systems and staging areas with the
target True Comp Schema. Used Informatica to populate True Comp Data Mart
which is source for True Portal where Sales Force Group will login and
monitor their compensation details. We have used Actuate e.Reporting Suite
as a reporting tool in this PACE - EIM solution.
PACE EIM solution has been split into following Releases.
. Release1 which we have delivered recently, dealt with Agent
Administration, Conversion & Migration activities, and Compensation
Calculation for some group of Thrivent's prop and non-prop products
hierarchy nodes and four Reports for end users.
. Release2 also will add new nodes in existing product hierarchy to
calculate compensation with some new set of reports to end users.
Roles & Responsibilities:
. Understanding of the Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), High
Level Design Documents and High Level Test Cases - which are inputs
for us to come up with Low Level Design phase deliverables.
. Participated in weekly all-hands meeting with onsite teams,
participated in client interactions to resolve any business logic
issues/concerns, escalate any techno-functional issues to the leads
and get the answers.
. Worked as part of Design team and participated in some of the "Low
Level Design Documents" by coordinating with Accenture IDC Team,
Thrivent Client team and Accenture US counter part.
. Reviewed the Compensation Plans with distinct Compensation Rules
(Credit, Measurements, Incentives, and Deposits)of Participants (Agent
Groups in Sales Force Group) as per the guidelines and low-level comp
rule specification documents which been sent by Thrivent.
. Creating the Informatica mappings with distinct transformations to
o Extract the data from source systems, transform the data & load
in to OASIS.
o To transform the data from OASIS, enrich the transaction and
load the enriched transactions into "Transaction Enrichment
DataBase" (TED).
o Load the transactions from TED to TrueComp Staging area.
o Extract the data from TrueComp Repository, which is normalized
schema, and load into TrueComp DataMart schema, which is star-
flake schema. Actuate reports will pull the data from this Data
Mart schema.
