EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Keith & Associates, Fort Lauderdale, 2009 - 2010
Florida
Project Manager
Owner's Rep, charged with construction management, project design and
guidance including estimating, staff supervision and time management,
controls, budget oversight, earned value review, value engineering,
logistics, and administration / GMP amendment negotiations. Primarily
responsible to interact with the General Contractor to ensure the on-time /
on-budget completion of a $65M International Terminal expansion project for
the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. Involved in the
project from the construction phase, through substantial completion and
commissioning. Interacted with the Broward County Aviation Department
(BCAD) to ensure compliance with all relevant requirements including,
construction codes, aviation operations, access control, and FAA advisories
and regulations.
> Restored project continuity on an Airport Terminal expansion project that
was behind schedule and stagnate. Due contract and budget mismanagement
resulting in approximately a 30:70 earned value to management services
ratio for the GC. As the Owners Rep, I was able to assist and recommend
solutions during contract amendment negotiations that restarted the
project allowing substantial completion to be met on time. Furthermore,
through rigid cost analysis and monetary negotiations with the GC, was
able to lead the project team in providing a construction discount of
over $1.5M back to the owner resulting in an under budget project
delivery.
