The Los Angeles Bioscience Plant produces plasma derived therapeutic

products for various human blood deficiencies. Site product portfolio

includes AHF-M for hemophiliacs, IGIV intermediates for immune deficiencies

and Albumin for protein blood volume replenishment.

Pharma Business Unit/Manufacturing Manager

Responsible for overall Pharma leadership, direction, and strategic

planning. This 24/7 manufacturing operation has multiple serum and

lyophilized products that are aseptically filled and packaged for over 50

US, European and intercontinental customers. Accomplishments include the

following:

. Directing a team of over 250 to complete Formulation/Filling/Finishing

for numerous product lines and over 1000 production lots annually

. Reduced Finishing area full-time headcount needs from 135 to 100 while

meeting 25% increased product demand requirements

. Reduction of Exception Reports from over 50 open items to 15. Sustained

that level since June 2004

. Implemented "Focus Factory" Consolidation within Finishing to allow

employee cross- training and optimization that led to over 10%

reduction in direct labor

costs using DMAIC and lean improvement tools

. Led Quality improvements that eliminated recurring lyopholized vacuum

jointly employ over 500 direct and indirect associates. Electro Kinetics

produces Generator and Alternator (Power Solutions) for aircraft and

industrial applications. Joslyn Sunbank fabricates connector backshells
