The Bama Companies-Tulsa, Ok 2008-2010

People Systems Coordinator/Benefits Coordinator

The Bama Companies is one the largest bakery production manufactures with three facilities in Oklahoma and four facilities internationally.

The company’s main focus is in the manufacturing of baked and frozen products and distributes its product to some of the world’s largest

fast food restaurants, large retail outlets and convenience stores. Bama employs approximately 1000 employees in it’s three Tulsa facilities.

Was responsible for the administration of all the following for Bama Foods, Bama Blending and Warehouse 2 locations.

Administered Bama’s total benefits program which included Health, Dental, Rx, Vision, Life, Disability, Flex and Retirement

plans and effectively communicated benefits to employees. Communicated to third party administrator and all other providers.

Answered, researched and resolved employee questions and claim issues . Liaison between benefit providers and employee’s.

Presented and administered yearly open enrollment. Assisted employees with the LOA and FMLA process and processed all

necessary paperwork. Processed court orders to ensure benefits for employee’s dependents. Processed all Cobra notifications of

eligible employees through carrier on-line database. Performed new hire orientation, which included policy and procedures,

benefits, payroll, vacations, sick time, PTO, holidays and work actions. Processed new hire paperwork, setup and maintained

employee and benefit files. Responsible for all staffing needs for facility which included screening, evaluating, scheduling and

VistaCare Hospice is a leading provider of hospice care services. Through interdisciplinary teams of physicians, nurses, home

healthcare aides, social workers, spiritual and other counselors and volunteers, VistaCare provides hospice care primarily

designed to reduce pain and enhance the quality of life of patients facing life-limiting illness. This hospice care is most commonly
