I have a BBA from Western Michigan University in 1986 and an HR
Professional Certification as Senior Human Resource Generalist III (SHRG
III) and believe in repetitive measurable's that lead to honing the
fundamental core competencies that are essential to a strong work team
environment where mentoring, development, assessment and re-education are
critical to a competitive workforce.
I have an extensive safety background, being trained by OHSA
trainers, which has offered me the opportunity to write safety plans and
handbooks for each of my employment experiences. I also implemented, led
and was a positive impact to safety programs with my OHSAS 18001 safety
training background, which helped keep recordable injuries and worker
compensation cases to 0 in first 3 years and 6 for the 4th year, through
identifying hazards upfront and adding controls to help reduce risks.
My extensive Lean Manufacturing background has helped each of the
companies I have worked with to become more cost effective. I have been a
champion and Management Representative leading a plant wide Cost Reduction
Committee to facilitate lower MRO and vendor costs across the board.
Reducing costs by $60,000 in the first year of CRC; and in the 4th year
$124,000 reduction by cost negotiations, savings, reductions and avoidance.
I Championed and Led cross functional teams to recognize operational
strengths/weaknesses, formulated strategies and plans to implement
organizational improvements necessary for long-term growth through
methodologies such as 5-S and 8-S, (TPM) total production management, Ford
Lean systems such as 8D's for brainstorming and problem solving and Lean
Manufacturing systems to increase direct labor productivity from 45% to 84%
and plant wide efficiencies from 35% to 65% from reducing indirect labor
and reducing several different wastes, and value stream mapping thus
causing a positive impact to bottom-line results. Having been trained as a
Six Sigma Green Belt (60 hours of training and 20 hours of onsite training)
I Championed a Six Sigma Green Belt Charter to reduce machine and man
defects on a new assembly line for Chrysler window regulators resulting in
a $45,000 cost reduction for the 4 year contract.
I developed and maintained training plans to complement the TS 16949
business system goals. Led and assisted teams to implement and maintain TS
