Role - Technical Lead (May 2005 till Dec 2007) with Tata Consultancy

Services

Team lead for the Campaign and Portfolio management services team of

Experian. The team was involved in the maintenance of the CPMS system

and retirement of some of the subsystems of CPMS. The CPMS retirement

project involved the retirement of 8 subsystems of CPMS that was

successfully implemented.

My responsibilities included

. Requirements Gathering - Met with end users and business analysts

to gather requirements for the CPMS retirement project, and

maintenance requests.

. Documented the business requirements and translated them to

technical specifications.

. Provided project estimates and Schedules.

. Code development and Code walkthrough.

Coded 28 new programs in COBOL and Assembler, meeting requirements

and quality standards. Involved in creating job streams using JCL,

Developer for Mainframe Remediation project of Best Buy Corporation.

This project aimed at enhancing all the Best Buy Mainframe

applications to handle a 4 digit Location Identifier, 9 digit Manifest

number and 14 digits UPC Code, that were initially defined as smaller

fields.

My responsibilities included

. Impact Analysis to identify the programs that needed modification.

Developed an automation tool using REXX that automated the impact

analysis of the programs, thus significantly reduced the analysis

time and eliminated manual errors.

. Design and Development

Modified COBOL programs, COPYBOOKS, CICS Screens in the Inventory

system of Best Buy to accommodate 4 digit location numbers, 9 digit

manifest number and 14 digit UPC code.

. Coordinated with the DBAs to change the table fields to accommodate

4 digit location numbers.

. Developed Unit, regression and System Integration test cases to

test the changes.

Role - Programmer Analyst (June 2002 till Aug 2004) with iNautix

Technologies pvt Ltd.

Client - Pershing LLC, NJ, US

This was a maintenance project that supported the requests initiated

by the Pershing correspondents (IBDs). This project also involved

carrying out Mutual Fund regulatory requirements as part of the SEC

audit for the IBDs.

My responsibilities as part of this team were:

. Maintain and Support existing systems.

. Performing developmental activities adhering to standards and

practices that meet the CMM Level 3 practices.

. Worked on minor and major development projects and followed the

entire SDLC.( Mutual Fund Regulatory requirement project and other

maintenance requests)

The Mutual Fund regulatory project was introduced to monitor the

after hours trading carried out by some IBDs against the regulations.

Developed programs to monitor timestamps from the Trade DB2 table and

send alerts incase of after hours trading.
