Professional Experience
• Responsible for submission, justification and project management for all material handling projects. In
2009 completed 4 sorter rebuilds, design and upgrade of transportation conveyance and installation of 8
vertical lifts. Total capitol expenditures justified and implemented exceeded $3 million dollars.
• Green initiatives include leading a Kaizen event which resulted in warehouse lighting retrofit which
removed High Bay lighting to a more energy efficient T5 fluorescent lighting fixture. Funding for the
project was submitted, approved and work completed in a 4 week time frame. Over 800 light fixtures
were replaced. KWh savings 63% for an annual budget reduction of 256K. ROI equated to 8 months.
Upon completion of the project, the FC was awarded with an Energy Systems Environmental
Stewardship Award and a local rebate check for the retrofit project totaling over 94K.
• Installed new CMMS system, wrote all preventative maintenance procedures to include scheduling.
Upgraded to a paperless work order inventory control system.
• Opened new Online Warehouse, responsible for building set-up, material handling installations, hiring all
staffing positions to include temporary staffing, receiving, stocking, order-picking, shipping and
production control. Responsible for all payrolls and HR functions.
• Opened new 750K sqft. Softline Distribution Center, overseeing installation, quality assurance and
testing of all Material Handling Systems.
• Responsible for hiring and training Maintenance crews to ensure maximum productivity and flow-thru is
achieved.
• Hand picked to bring past operating company Facility Operations Department’s policies and procedures
to be common with Parent Corporation.
• Coordinated, planned and flawlessly executed system rebuild project totaling 90K in parts and labor
which was completed on time with-in a 48 hour deadline.
• In a six-month window, closed one operarational building, transitioned operations to current building,
completed a 25k sq ft expansion, and completed additional conveyor upgrades and installation while
transitioning operations to 3D applications.
• Responsible for payroll budget of $800,000.00 and department budget of 1.8 million.
• Planned, budgeted and justified all capital expenditures. Upon approval of Capitol Expenditures
Requests, coordinated all purchases and contract negotiations, including bid preparations and
evaluations.
• Established computer maintenance management system to record, track and evaluate equipment, parts,
and labor history and expenses improvement efforts.
• Set all preventative maintenance schedules for both office and warehouse equipment and fixtures.
Developed and implemented procedures to deal with emergency repair and operations for the entire
facility.
• Responsible for managing maintenance and contract maintenance of all building equipment, grounds,
including housekeeping, overhead doors, compactors, balers, HVAC, landscaping, lots and fences.
• Responsible for managing maintenance/repair/PM of all material handling equipment to include
conveyors, sortation, scanners, RF units, rolling stock, electrical/electronic equipment and energy
management systems.
