Dear Hiring Manager,
I am submitting this resume in response to your posting on toledoblade.monster.com. I believe that I have the
skills you are seeking and would like to be considered for the this position.
My well-rounded experience is a strong match for this career opportunity. I have worked in design, marketing,
retail, and product distribution environments. I am highly organized and adept at meeting deadlines. I know that
my extensive page layout, print buying and project coordination experience coupled with my organizational
skills will allow me to be a successful member of your team.
As you will note by the enclosed resume, I have worked for the past eight years at the Toledo Museum
of Art; a highly regarded institution which welcomes over 300,000 visitors per year. In my seven years as
Graphic Design Coordinator, I worked with staff members throughout the museum to coordinate design
and production all of the promotional materials, advertising, and invitations for the museum as well as
environmental and exhibition graphics. I solicited all quotes for offset and digital print work and large format
production. I worked with printers, designers, and museum staff to make certain the finished product met
quality expectations and reflected the museum’s high standards. Through this interaction with staff and
vendors, I have realized the value of communication in translating a client’s ideas into a finished product.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to meet with you and welcome the chance to apply these skills and
knowledge to a position with your company.
Sincerely,
Cindi Butler
