Project: The Role of RCK/p54 in HCV Gene Expression
. Determined that the protein RCK/p54 is important for the HCV lifecycle
using in vivo and in vitro techniques
. Created dominant-negative RCK/p54 by reconstructing mutations found in
the yeast ortholog within RCK/p54, screened for expression, and want to
examine effects of mutants on HCV RNA levels
Project: The role of MoeGT5 in the Moenomycin Biosynthetic Pathway
. Subcloned enzyme MoeGT5 (GT5) into a pTB146 His- SUMO tagged vector,
successfully purified MoeGT5 and analyzed results via SDS-PAGE, and want
to test for enzymatic activity
