Controller
Oversee accounting department, and often perform CFO duties for a
combined company with over $12 million annual revenue. The corporation
experienced a sales growth of almost 25% in first three years. Developed
and implemented majority of the accounting system controls. Negotiated
the first unsecured line of credit with new bankers for the corporation.
Improved the Company's credit rating during my tenure, which significantly
decreased the worker compensation insurance rates, thereby lowering
monthly premiums approximately 40%. Managed semi-monthly payroll for over
250 employees. Prepared quarterly and financial statements for various
lenders. Responsible for tax planning, and preparation of the annual
income tax returns for all entities - six S-Corporations, eight LLCs, two
Non-Profit Organizations, and the owners individual returns as well. I
assisted the CFO with insurance and banking negotiations, and keeping our
accounting system updated.
When the owners decided to split the business, I was responsible for
the creation and maintenance of schedules and forecasts for the owners,
mediator and all attorneys involved, in addition to regular duties.
