Founder and Managing Director 2007-2010
As Managing Director, Renaud managed overall business of the company
- from customer acquisition and management to marketing, service
delivery, procurement and providers management, accounting and team
development.
ING Group . Brussels, Belgium
Director IT Securities & Private Banking 2003-2007
Reporting to the ING Group CIO, Renaud headed the IT Securities &
Private Banking Department - a team of more than 350 professionals
across 15 countries. The annual budget of the Department exceeded
E50M.
Renaud lead several key programs within ING Group and the team under
his supervision:
. Defined and communicated Department strategy aligned. This strategy
which defined the Target Applicative Architecture and Target Operating
Model led to the decommissioning of more than 70 legacy applications
and an annual budget reduction above 10 millions euro
. Designed, developed and deployed a central Securities Master system
(called Security Master File) for the ING Group. This central
securities repository was used across majority of the systems and
across all business units. The system pioneered focus on consumption
of the data by downstream systems and allowed for subscription. The
system was subsequently packaged and sold to Capco and Renaud
successfully set-up the only successful managed data service
engagement in the industry at the time.
. Improved internal processes for Software Development Cycle (CMM 3) and
Service Management (ITIL) so Renaud's team was recognized as the most
mature team within ING's OPS&IT.
. successfully managed the deployment of Information Mosaic Custody
system for 8 Central and Eastern European countries in an ASP mode.
This implementation utilized the data provided by Capco's managed data
service and it was the first ASP system deployment within the bank.
Renaud was also responsible for development and implementation of
complex many systems within ING Group with successful track record
of delivery in timely and within budget fashion.
Deloitte Consulting . Luxembourg
Senior Manager 2001-2003
During his tenure at Deloitte Consulting in Luxembourg Renaud was
appointed by request of INGs CIO to manage a total revamp of INGs
Securities architecture in the program named GSP (Global Securities
Processing). Renaud successfully managed the roll out of all parts
of this Program on time and as per the objectives. At peak periods,
the Program had more than 200 stakeholders from all parts of the ING
Group. Stakeholder management was one of key challenges within the
GSP Program.
The multimillion GSP Program encompassed a wide range of changes for
the company:
. IT Infrastructure: first large implementation of an "open
architecture" solution. The deployment of Sun Solaris platform
radically diverged from the traditional Unisys mainframe
environment. This introduced major changes in all the delivery
and operations processes.
. Software Delivery: homemade software production based on open
software architecture (Oracle), introducing a new way to develop
and roll out software for the Bank. Renaud introduced a whole
set of rules and processes that significantly raised the
maturity level of the teams.
. Operations: alongside the changes introduced at the IT level,
the major impacts resided in the process re-engineering.
Implementation of this change required specific attention but
was eventually a success.
Unisys . Brussels, Belgium
Senior Project Manager 1998-2001
With a good mix of formal training and actual practice through a
series of small to medium scale projects, Renaud sharpened his
Project and Program Management skills and techniques. He was
appointed as a Project Manager for a multi-million euros project at
S.W.I.F.T. This complex project enabled him to be recognized as a
seasoned project manager and key resource within Unisys.
Renaud became European Product Manager for the Unisys Retail Banking
solution suite called FBA Navigator: a multi channel bank system
combined with a CRM (either Unisys proprietary or Siebel). In this
function, Renaud not only promoted and helped sell this product
suite throughout Europe but also assured proper delivery -
especially at the project inception stage.
Some illustrations of the projects initiated by Renaud in this
function:
. Launch of an internet bank and a call center for the Dresdner
Bank in Italy (Milan);
. Launch of a major multichannel banking system (branch, internet,
call center) and CRM project for the CGD Group in Lisbon,
Portugal
. Deployment of a branch system and a CRM system for a Belgian
bank (Mercator Bank) in Antwerpen
