Primary responsibility is to maintain medical records for inmates and detainees. To

complete all outside referrals for inmates to health services that are required for further

treatment and make arrangement with out transportation department. To order and

entering all data into the JDE Edwards and Oracle Inventory System to document

To provide backup documentation to pay the bills that include medical treatment for

inmates, supplies, and daily purchases through the department and maintain the budget

requirements setup by the department. I am required to understand medical terminology

and billing methods as well as ICD-9 and CPT coding.

Secondary responsibilities include Health Information Specialist, which is to maintain

and develop the department’s data, quality of care, records, training of all medical staff,

and computer application and equipment issues. I conduct monthly oversight of quality

assurance for the medical clinic that is to be reported to corporate and the contracted

state. Create and develop new spreadsheets and data management systems to keep track

of records and documentation within the medial facility. I also maintain and train all

employees on the AllScripts system and other company applications. I manage upgrade

training material and maintain accuracy within the system eliminating system errors,

misfiling, documentation errors, and conduct feedback to staff. Conducting

troubleshooting with all application systems and work with IT to eliminate errors within

the EMR, and general computer database errors. To help and assist helpdesk with

problem-solving and backup support to onsite IT personnel. Also, maintain equipment

and that is functioning, and uses resources to fix the equipment when it is out of service.

Onsite IT Specialist for Facility-

This position consists of helping with creating database worksheets using word, excel,

and other application that are available for the facility, helping and assisting in computer

issues, networking issues, and ordering and supply equipment to areas that require the

need.

I assist in training and setup of computer access for employees. I provide helpdesk

assistance and setup new equipment in the facility, installs of equipment, re-ghosting

computers, scanning, printers, and other applications that require updates and new

installs.

Training experience consist of directing and providing one on one or group sessions with

OMS, AllScripts (EMR), Scanning, email, and other applications used by the facility.

I produce and manage all training videos and training methods for our department that is

part of the company’s portal of applications. I assist in VPN, WAN, and network issues

and help staff with Avaya Phone and Fax setups. I manage the ports and series boards. I

also help in repair of bad ports by replacing the RJ45 jacks. Understanding the Citrix

network tools and how to maintain connection and switching servers when one fails.
