Acme Springs, Dayton, Ohio 1979-1982, 937-***-****
Spring Maker I made and repaired leaf springs for automobiles. I measured and cut cold steel using a cutting machine, heat treated the steel using a furnace, centered hole punched, arched the treated steel using an anvil and assembled the steel to make leaf springs. I operated a punch press, air and hand tools. Acme Springs disbanded their leaf spring department.
Burger Chef, Dayton, Ohio, 1974-1978
Night Manager I trained and supervised cooks, counter people and servers. I was responsible for cash accounting, inventory and the ordering of supplies. I was also involved in food preparation. I was responsible for filling out the night deposit slip and making the night deposit to the bank. Burger Chef went out of business.
Volunteer Experience:
Volunteer Lawyers Project - Dayton Bar Association
I assist people fill out the necessary forms to gain custody of their children so the clients can represent themselves in Domestic Relations Court.
Long term Care Ombudsman - State of Ohio
I advocate for people receiving home care, assisted living or are living in nursing homes. I do this by working to resolve complaints about services, helping people select a provider, monitoring the laws, regulations and policies of the facility and providing information about benefits and consumer rights.
