payment. Wrote user stories in preparation for an Agile development project

to automate their process.

Website Development

Project objective: Develop an enterprise web site to allow online

access for employees of client companies to complete a health risk

assessment and work online with a coach to improve their health.

Interviewed stakeholders to gather requirements, provided business

process modeling, and documented requirements for use by development

and QA. Used individual interviews, document analysis, and JAD sessions for

documentation of requirements, wireframes and flow, data collection,

and presentation.

Healthcare Eligibility Rules Engine Project

Project objective: Using RUP methodology, work with three other BAs and

the policy business team to document extensive and complex policy,

business, and system requirements needed to develop an automated,

integrated healthcare eligibility system for the state. Teach use case

best practices to the staff.

. Worked with 19-person team to organize, model, and document

healthcare eligibility processes

. Identified 300+ use cases for all eligibility types; developed a

systematic, easily-implemented approach to writing use cases from

Project Objective: Streamline the Dental Division's fulfillment system by

developing a new application to

integrate processes from 6 business areas.

. Rapidly learned 3M's systems and consulted with a group of 12 team

members during project: They were:

o Web design team: new external screens and processes for

distributor reps and customers

o Lotus Notes developer: new internal screens/processes for the

sales and customer service reps

o Corporate order system developer: integrate new fulfillment

order process with legacy system

o Plant manager (CA): the project's Six Sigma champion whose

plant shipped the orders

o Siebel CRM and architecture developers: two-way integration

with both the literature vendor's system and the plant to

track the orders and add fulfillment records to the

customer's Siebel file.

. Efficiently gathered requirements from business resources and created

a requirements traceability matrix, modified the proposed system's

Visio diagrams, and created use cases and other documentation.

. PM effort praised by project owner; BA documentation praised by

employee returning to take over project.

Outcome: Achieved cost reduction of $100,000 by creating a solution that

capitalized on existing methodology rather than building new application.

Project objective: Using MS Project, provided work planning and

resource leveling for the IT Director

on committed work across the 5 IT departments (52 employees) for the

remainder of 2007 and for 2008.

fix, support, PTO, and training time

MS Project files, assigned

resources, and created the schedules for committed work and for
