Responsible for maintaining the quality/integrity of the Contractors,

inspecting work done for the day, being accountable for Subcontractors and

their material on the jobsite, estimating change orders for extra work.

There was a daily interface between myself and the Army Corps of Engineers

as to the progress of the project. For different owners Quality control

reports and Daily Quality Assurance reports were required. Job also entails

working on daily job costs as to the progress of the billing cycle and

keeping job costs within budget. My position(s) on the projects also

entailed the submittals of shop drawings, certified payrolls and test

results (i.e. blasting) to the Corps for approval and a submission of a

monthly estimate for payment; as well as being a working Foreman when

needed. From 1995 until present I have written 7 different QC plans for

various U.S Army Corps projects with input from my Project Managers,

Project Schedulers, testing laboratories and Sub Contractors, etc.. . Along

with being the creator of the particular Project QC Manual I also was the

QC Manager on all the projects and implemented the various programs that

were called out in the manual. The manual follows the Project

Specifications and is tailored to that particular project. As can be seen

from my experience, I have worked under many different conditions for the

Army Corps of Engineers and other owners

1992-1994 Obtained Masters Degree - Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA

11/88-12/91 Office Manager, James D. Morrissey, Inc., Philadelphia, PA,

Construction of 6.6 miles of I-476, Delaware Co., PA. Total of $140,000,000

dollars between two sections of the project. Responsible for time keeping

and payroll for an average of 70 union field personnel, duties included

making layoffs, payment adjustment and wage determination for various

trades, also verify invoices for payment, record and measure quantities,

process pay estimate, expedite materials and equipment, update progress

schedule, maintain equipment inventory, supervise blasting, placement of

pipe, and borrow/waste allotment operations.

6/88-10/88 Project Accountant, The George Hyman Construction Co.,

Responsible for project close out operation, subcontractor contract

negotiations, monthly payment requisitions and expediting, invoice

payments, release of liens and waivers, implement retention reductions,

review change orders, define financial project exposures and liabilities,

estimate complete project costs, and surety, bond and insurance compliance.

Responsible for material and equipment purchasing, monthly equipment

inventories, verification of invoices and payroll, handled wage

determination, distribution of checks, layoffs and adjustments. Also

maintained material order log, purchase order log, time log, price control

log and equipment transfer log.
