Marine Aircraft Wing Embarkation Officer (2000 to 2002)

Directed the operational preparedness and world wide movement of the Third

Marine Aircraft Wing which included over 3000 personnel, 400 fighter jets,

helicopters, cargo planes, and over 1,000 items of combat service support

and communications equipment. One of only 3 Aircraft Wings in the Marine

Corps, whose mission is to provide airlift and air cover/support to Marine

Infantry Divisions. Managed 5 direct and 52 indirect reports with an

airlift operations budget in excess of $3 million.

. Reduced lift requirements by 40% through the development and creation of

policies and procedures for refining automated Time Phased Force

Deployment Data

. As the lead Logistics and Movement Planner for all West Coast Marine

Corps units, directed the sequencing and validation of movement at

USTRANSCOM for the first combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq

. Directed the capture of embarkation data that allowed for greater

management of world wide cargo visibility

. Managed capabilities and functions for the Aerial Port of

Directed the logistics operations for 3 amphibious warships. These

operations included, but are not limited to, logistical support for war

reserve construction material, ammunition, food, and humanitarian aid.

. Directed movement operations in support of humanitarian missions in East

Timor and the Horn of Africa

. Throughout a six month deployment oversaw the movement of over 60 million

pounds of cargo encompassing over 5,000 separate lifts in 7 different

locations located in throughout the Far East and Middle East

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS, San Diego, CA

USS Cleveland (LPD-7) Combat Cargo Officer (1997-1998)

Directed logistics operations and movement for all cargo and personnel

aboard this amphibious warship.

. During dry dock operations coordinated the rehab of all embarked troop

living spaces working closely with the civilian contractor to bring the

project in on time and within budget

. Coordinated the offloading, ordering and then the reloading and stowage

of all Landing Force Operational Reserve Material (LFORM). This included

food, medical, construction, ammunition, and fuel for 600 personnel for

the initial 5 days in combat or humanitarian mission

Served in the United States Marine Corps starting as an enlisted Marine and

moving to the Officer ranks with increasing responsibilities in the areas

of supply management, embarkation, transportation, safety and hazardous

materials

. Successfully developed and managed the largest peacetime operational
