BASED HYBRID COMPOSITES"
. Provided Technical Leadership to four person team involving analysis of
hybrid composites
. PURPOSE : To research and engineer aluminum based hybrid composites
intended in light weight constructions for easy handling, reduced space,
reduction of parts in an assembly, good appearances and resistance to
weathering attack
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: The project revolved around development of aluminium
based hybrid composites involving albite and graphite reinforcements. The
project was able to successfully develop these hybrid composites, and
material property evaluation was carried out successfully. Significant
results were recorded as per ASTM standards. The results show that the
prepared hybrid composites had enhanced mechanical and wear resistant
properties. This material can be used for light weight structures and
automotive components
. Estimated project requirements, part costs, timeline & resources needed
