TIME GAPS:
Most recently I have worked as a temporary employee at the University of
Utah in the Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. Prior to this I was in
the process of relocating to Utah from Florida where I had worked in the
field of Internal Medicine, (outpatient VA clinic).
JOB SKILLS:
Electronic medical records, dictation.
Ordering lab panels, imaging studies. Consulting with other specialties:
dermatology, cardiology, nephrology, GI, infectious disease, mental health,
nutrition.
Documenting H&P's after head-to-toe physicals, admissions, discharges.
Managing plan of care and medications for patients with multiple co-
morbidities, severely neutropenic patients and explaining/interpreting lab
results to patients and families.
Biopsies of skin lesions, suturing, suture removal, foreign body removal,
IV therapy, phlebotomy, splinting, injections/vaccinations, ear lavage,
bone marrow biopsy, EKG's, I&D, pap smears, cultures.
Previously assisted with stenting, (renal, upper/lower extremity, aortic),
balloon catheterization, AVF thrombectomies in dialysis patients.
Administering Retavase* to return patency to occluded tunnel catheters.
Administering Beta-blockers I.V., prior to CT angiography
