and safety implementation will be useful in assisting Goodyear in the

Continuous Improvement Specialist function. I am willing and able to learn

Requirements

Supports the business and manufacturing teams with the implementation of

lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts. / Experienced in

implementing use of rubber testing software control charts in laboratory to

obtain quicker response to change of process conditions.

REQUIREMENTS:

-4 Year Degree / Bachelor of Science Chemical Engineering

-3-5 yrs of experience working in a lean manufacturing or a continuous

improvement environment. / Eaton Corporation Golf Pride on the job training

for 7 years, with previous experience in lean manufacturing with PolyOne.

-Formal training and experience with the Toyota Production System or a

manufacturer recognized for their lean and continuous improvement programs

strongly preferred. / Eaton Corporation Golf Pride on the job training for

7 years.

-Black Belt certification / On the job training for different aspects

including Design of Experiments to aid Quality Manager in his obtaining his

Black Belt Certification at Eaton Corporation.

-Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, practical experience in a

manufacturing environment, and good problem solving skills. / Rubber

Chemist for PolyOne and Eaton Corporation providing technical assistance to

various rubber molding operations as PolyOne process engineer. Experience

in blending rubber masterbatches as composites for optimum compound

consistency.

-Demonstrated ability to independently create functional & cost effective

designs that meet complex specification requirements. / Use of design of

experiments to determine most advantageous rubber formulation. Use of Excel

to determine optimum banbury batch size as based upon gravities of

materials, batch factors for polymers and oil loadings to obtain consistent

quality Banbury mixes.

-General understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margins, profit

impact of decisions) affecting assignment areas. Has knowledge of Lean

tools and has experience in implementation lean methodologies. Shows

evidence of ability to guide and mentor others and demonstrates some degree

of leadership ability. Use of process mapping to ensure value added

processes are maintained while reducing non value added processes. Mentored

others in plant as Eaton Safety Supervisor.

-Has the ability to train others in use of the Lean Tools. / Provided

training to lab technicians as needed in control charts review. Provided

training to others as Eaton Laurinburg Safety Supervisor.
