Adjunct Professor
Designed lesson plan to teach students evidentiary law based on Federal
Rules of Evidence, and philosophical legal principles using texts such as
The Republic, City of God, and Utilitarianism. Instruct students in
writing direct and cross-examinations, opening and closing statements,
trial strategy and techniques, and lay and expert testimony. Use web
interface Moodle to create student assignments. Designed two final exams-a
mock trial simulation and an essay on evidentiary law.
Mock Trial Coach
Taught students courtroom decorum and federal and procedural rules of
evidentiary law. Guided students in writing direct and cross examinations,
opening and closing statements, trial strategy and techniques, and lay and
expert witness testimony. Motivated and encouraged students to perform
well under pressure.

Conducted Social Security Appeal, to include subpoenaing medical records,
writing detailed medical reports, and researching relevant law and
applicable statutes. Prepared the appellant and witnesses for testimonial
evidence, wrote and presented the statement of the argument for hearing,
and conducted direct examinations. Researched and wrote memoranda on auto
fraud and lender fraud under the Truth in Lending Act and the Equal Credit
Opportunity Act. Drafted complaints alleging fraud, conversion, and unfair
trade practices, and drafted motion to compel. Researched and wrote memo
on employment disputes such as termination with cause. Interviewed clients
and filed electronic bankruptcies under Chapters 7 and 13.

case review meetings.

Jail Project Coordinator
Conducted over 400 interviews of lower court detainees at the Greenville
County Detention Center for bail reductions, habeas motions, and medical
inquiries. Led non-profit program, The Jail Project, and directed project
development. Trained new interns to conduct interviews with detainees and
family members, meet with public officials, and observe courtroom
etiquette.
