Extracurricular activities

My extracurricular activities while I was in school included

participating in the yearbook and journalism staff, the swim

team, and the National Honor Society. I was also on the

honor roll every year, and I enjoyed hobbies such as reading,

writing, working with animals, and working with my father at

his chemistry lab. I excelled in english and all science

courses, and I am excellent with computers as well.

I have several years of volunteer experience as well. I was

a youth tutor at Caldwell Elementary, and I also helped with

fundraisers for Positive Directions, Inc., which is an

organization that helps people with AIDS. I have extensive

retail experience, as well as knowledge about people with

mental illnesses. I am very patient and nonjudgmental, and

I enjoy working with people of all different cultures and

backgrounds. I also enjoy science and have a great desire to

work in the healthcare setting, because I plan to take

nursing classes in the near future.
