operations. The fleet consists of 500 licensed vehicles with another 700+
units of heavy rail maintenance and civil construction equipment valued at
upwards of $50m. Initiated and justified all capital and major equipment
repair expenditures. Established preventative maintenance programs
including parameters and key performance indicators.

The inaugural Fleet Manager for the resort Island of Lana'i tasked to
direct all facets of fleet operations consisting of 350+ class 2-8 trucks,
buses, cranes and heavy mobile construction equipment required to maintain
island operations to include multiple 5 star hotels, signature golf
courses, nurseries, landscape equipment shops, "extreme high end"
residential construction, water well, sewer, quarrying, concrete & asphalt
production. Responsibilities included administering heavy civil operations
and P & L that included $17m assets with a budget of $2.5m.
Projects:
. Reorganized light vehicle & heavy equipment shops into a single
efficient, maintenance facility served by a single staff & parts
warehouse.
. Specified, selected & launched multiple facility computerized fleet
management systems to include training & initial system configuration
to track transit, golf course, plant, light and heavy equipment.
. Reconstituted previously charged off unused parts to provide actual
inventory amount and accurate equipment maintenance expenses.

Planed equipment startup operations for a steel mill service company which
owned, operated, maintained or rented all heavy mobile equipment involved
in servicing a 1.5 million ton/year scrap steel recycling mill, haul roads
& facilities. In charge of facility upkeep, vendor relations, parts &
material inventories, tire conservation program, preventative maintenance
policies and inventory.
Projects:
. Procured fleet of 125 units of mobile steel mill service equipment
including switching locomotives, cranes, off road dumps, scrap
handlers, ladle carriers, 50-ton forklifts, etc.
. Responded to on site disasters including flooding, fires, accidents
and molten metal spills until conclusion.
. Set up 250 ton/day slag processing and crushing plant.
. Provided equipment support for multiple and ongoing construction
projects, installations and upgrades within the steel mill.
