Professional Accomplishments:

. Modeling & Experiment on Two-phase Fluid Transport in Porous Materials

(at Porous Media & Multiphase Flow Laboratory, VCU)

o Developed a two-scale modeling technique for simulating the

release of lotion from wet fibrous media when moved against a

flat surface with different hydrophobicity. Model has the

ability to simulate fibrous samples with blends and multi-layers

of porous and non-porous fibers.

o Designed a CNC-based test setup and established a methodology to

measure the rate of lotion release from wet fibrous samples

during wiping on different surfaces, speeds, and pressures

o Developed a simulation procedure for prediction the rate of

fluid absorption thin/thick multi-layer fibrous media composed

of porous and non-porous fibers.

o Designed a CNC-based test setup to measure fluid height rise

nonwoven media for the purpose of calculating the effective

contact angle between a fluid and the media

o Prepared bi-monthly reports for the sponsoring company

(Ahlstrom) since October 2007.

. Oil and Gas Industry (at Namvaran Co. Tehran, Iran)
