OVERVIEW and OBJECTIVE

I am an engineer with an automotive background who can improve

quality, reduce downtime, and save money. Looking to find a stable

company, a full time position with career opportunities and personable work

environment. While, through contract engineering, I have learned to

quickly resolve problems and prepare solutions. I now want a company to

become familiar with and make a long term commitment.

I have engineering skills with the ability to clearly define project

in plant floor engineering, and equipment development. Over 20 years

experience in gauges, tooling, machining, metal fabrication and technical

services.

Engineer for the bearing Cage and Roll press forming, O.D. & face

grinding, vibe & tumble, and annealing. Managed new part startup

including: Tooling design, gages, and coordinated projects to meet

production schedule and budget goals. Maintained daily production

operations by improving process flow and making tooling upgrades.

use of an Electronic Document Management System, location manuals and

blueprints during conversions. Managed special drawing and drafting

projects.

painters. Controlled budgets in excess of $100,000 with the goal to meet

deadlines and improve company profits.

. Supervised the manufacturing of gauges using AutoCAD and conducted

tests and measurements to validate accuracy that met customer

Managed special projects with full responsibility for planning and

ordering the equipment package for a drafting station that became a company

standard. Designed and constructed a numbering system with responsibility

for all drawings from initiation to completion. Designed special gauges,

Created mechanical drawings, process prints (routing drawings/documents)

distributed to production, operators, set-up personnel and maintenance.

Designed and implemented a drawing numbering system. Managed special

projects (i.e. cost savings & new product start-up) additional to day-to-

day production. Responsible for the operation of all single bearing

press machines (34) and one of the three double bearing machines. Conducted

training for all current employees & new employees, in basic mathematics,

blueprint reading and mechanical aptitude assessment testing.

Manufacturer of Automotive Spark Plugs Elberton, Georgia

Drafting Specialist

Created drawings and designed tooling for the manufacture of automotive

spark plugs. Calculated weights and cost of all individual parts for

existing and newly released production. Produced quality overlay drawings

for laboratory use to compare tooling.

. Managed projects to produce jigs to fit newly designed blister packs

for merchandising spark plugs.
