PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Worked with Executive Director and Program Manager to develop and
implement a social and recreational center for Developmentally Delayed
adults, including programming in Fine Arts.
Directed first production; Board Member of New Day Children's Theatre
of Collierville, TN.
Developed and implemented a Special Education Theatre production for
Morgan Woods Theatre, including it in the regular season of productions.
Originated concept for and managed annual concert for City of
Germantown, showcasing young musicians aged 8 - 18. Under my direction the
Young Artist Concert flourished for 10 years.
Originated and brought to the stage the Young Playwright's Contest
and Showcase; mentored young playwrights and enabled them to bring their
productions to life onstage.
Co-founded, staged, and performed with touring troupe of Memphis Park
Commission, traveling to playgrounds and community centers throughout the 4
year duration of the project.
INSTRUCTION
New Day Children's Theatre: Day Camp. Designed curriculum; taught
ages 5-12; supervised workers aged 13-18 - 2005, 2006, 2007.
Memphis City Schools: Central High School Drama Teacher. Designed
curriculum and taught 2007-2008
St. Mary's Episcopal School - Drama Director. Designed curriculum;
directed all productions. 1982-1986
Morgan Woods Theatre: Classes and direction of all productions 1993-

Ewing Children's Theatre - classes and direction of productions -

Community centers, etc.
ADMINISTRATION
Manager/Coordinator: Germantown Performing Arts Center's Morgan Woods
Theatre. Designed every aspect of programming for students aged 5-18. Hired
instructors, directors, technical personnel, choreographers, etc.
Maintained all business needs of facility, developed and maintained box
office procedures, managed budgets, trained instructors and volunteers and
supervised same. Worked with staff of Germantown Performing Arts Centre to
coordinate and present special events ranging from Opening Night
receptions, Season Opening Gala (Yo Yo Ma, Hal Holbrook, etc) and special
concerts to business expositions.
Community Center Director: Memphis Park Commission. Responsible for
every presentation and class of both Sue Hick Hobby Center and Ewing
Children's Theatre. Hired and supervised instructors in classes ranging
from lapidary to painting - from stagecraft to acting. Managed budget.

Manager/Buyer for Pink Palace Museum Gift Shop. Coordinated choice of
merchandise with museum exhibits and standards of museum . Chose age
appropriate science and natural history products designed to enhance and
expand the learning experience of patrons. Worked closely with budget
manager.
ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Authored HIDDEN CHILDREN OF THE HOLOCAUST, a drama for ages 8-18,
thus winning the Belz-Lipman award for Holocaust Educator of the year in
2005. Was enabled through this award to travel to Germany, Poland and the
Czech Republic to study Holocaust sites, resulting in the play NELLI'S
SONG, produced in 2008.
Wrote Book and Lyrics for two musicals: BABES IN TOYLAND and SNOW
WHITE. These shows have been produced by in New York and Memphis.
Received Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts: Outstanding
Teacher Award, 1999
