Syska Hennessy Group which I saw posted on the Indeed.com website. I am an
alumnus of Baruch College in New York City with a B.A. in Business
Communications/Corporate Communications, and an M.S. in Industrial & Labor
Relations, and am interested in pursuing a career in the H.R. field. At
present, I am interested in a full-time position and am available
immediately.
I believe that I am an excellent candidate for the H.R. Representative
position based upon my detail oriented and quick learning skills,
interpersonal skills, and various clerical/administrative skills, as well
as team player skills, educational background, people skills, and
internship and past employment experiences.
I have good organizational and listening skills, research skills, verbal
and written communication skills, multiple task management, observation and
analytical skills, interviewing skills, as well as knowledge of the
Recruitment, On-Boarding, & Benefits functions of the H.R. field.
For example, through my previous work experiences, I have been mainly
exposed to the Recruitment function where I have conducted criminal
background and reference checks, pre-screened resumes, and assisted in
conducting and scheduling interviews for various levels of candidates,
exposure to the
On-boarding function by completing I-9 forms & verifying citizenship
status upon an employee's hire, composing and mailing offer & rejection
letters, monitoring and updating employee license and credentialing
information, coordinating new hire orientation, and issuing company ID's to
new hires.
My exposure to the Benefits function has most recently entailed following
up on benefit enrollments for all new hires & monitoring the accuracy of
all health & dental insurance enrollment forms received prior to having
them processed, reconciling & auditing group benefit invoices for
discrepancies of credit regarding previous terminations as well as the
addition of new hires, and answering employee related questions about
benefits.
Additionally, I am knowledgeable of computer applications such as MS Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS systems such as EV3, Kronos, PeopleTrak, &
Reportsmith, have Internet research capabilities, possess a passion for
learning all aspects of the H.R. field, and am requesting an annual salary
ranging between $40,000 - $45,000 per year.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to learn more about
your company and how I can contribute to its continued success. I look
forward to hearing from you soon to arrange for an interview at your
convenience. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Jermaine Coleman
