As a Social Worker for the Army since 1989, I obtained vast experiences of social work
p ractices. I have gained knowledge of social work principles, social work practices, and
t reatment modalities. These included providing in and outpatient services to individuals,
g roups, and families of the military communities in coordination with other mili tary
agencies as well as local community agencies. In addition, my brief stay with the State's
Social Services awarded me the experience of working with the social, economic, and health
p roblems of the poor and the underprivileged such as unemployment, families without
shelter and/or food, and victims of domestic violence. As Chief of my departments during my
m ilitary career, I worked closely with the FAPM/ACS in order to provide the highest
standard of services to the mili tary community concentrating on domestic violence and
reducing its occurrence or reoccurrence rates. Worked with the FAPM on budgetary issues
and concerns focusing on the t reatment needs of the clients. Skilled in record keeping, data
collection and interpretation of data used to determined weaknesses, strengths, and
services needed by clients.
