Experience
Senior Actuarial Business June 2003 to
Analyst/Consultant Present
Actuarial Systems Group
SUBO Corporation, Saint Petersburg,
Florida
I was responsible for maintaining client accounts for 4
major Insurers, acting as a liaison between the client
business users and IT departments, identifying client
issues, problems or opportunities. Documenting client
requirements, business needs and business cases, and
developing solutions and tools needed to address these
issues, problems or opportunities.
Projects include:
Indentified an issue with the Guideline Premiums on a
converted block of policies. I was responsible for
documenting and developing the solution for the remediation
of this Guideline Premium issue. The Solution involved
data mining Policy Records, automating the access and
organization of these records and producing an automated
method for rebuilding the policy's Guideline Premium
history. This effort resulted in the client avoiding a
possible regulatory audit.
Managed a team of analyst and developers to design, build
and implement a set of tools aimed at automating and
standardizing the In Force Illustration capabilities for a
Closed Block of business. This project allowed the client
to focus their technology needs on active business and
provided them the ability to deliver outstanding service to
existing business.
I played an integral role as part of a conversion team that
successfully converted 300,000 Life Insurance policies from
the Life 70 Policy Administration System onto the Cyber
Life Policy Administration System. Successful completion
of this project enabled the client to make significant
upgrades to their technology
Developed a methodology to automate the testing process for
an implementation of the external calculation engine VP/MS
for a Vantage Conversion. Was responsible for identifying
data needs, tools development, calculation verification and
ongoing support in a challenging onshore/offshore
environment.
As a key member of the Fusion Vantage conversion team, we
were responsible for the successful conversion and
unification from multiple platforms onto a single instance
of Vantage 20.0.
Lead Actuarial BA for a client's Definition of Life
Insurance Project, 15.4 policy administration conversion
and Legal Ops data base development.

2001-42 (Inadvertent MEC process). This analysis and
automated method resulted in AEGON saving in excess of $8

Devised a reverse engineering strategy to conduct a
competitive markets study using competitor's sales
illustration software and product documentation to measure
AEGON's product feature's comparability with other insurers.
